QURAYAT, 11 February — Anti-fraud officials in this northern city have stopped a prize contest organized by a leading financial institution in the region on charges of not complying with the regulations governing commercial contests. At stake was a 2001 model car. The charges included announcing the contest without permission from the local chamber. The matter is now before the director general of the anti-fraud department at the Ministry of Commerce. Contests resembling lottery are banned in the Kingdom.
