JEDDAH, 17 February — A Saudi man has questioned the ruling by a Health Ministry panel imposing nominal fines on four doctors who were found guilty of malpractice at a Baljurashi hospital. The man alleged that negligence of duty by the doctors cost him the life of his wife, Al-Madinah reported yesterday. A legal committee under the Health Ministry had fined the doctors SR2,000 to SR5,000. The Saudi sent a letter to the health minister complains that the punishment was too light. Commenting on the complaint, Dr. Salah Abdul Aali, director of health in the region, said the man was free to appeal to the Court of Grievances if he was not happy with the panel’s decision.
