TAIF, 23 February — Police here arrested a man who tried to burgle his friend’s shop during a prayer break, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported yesterday. The thief was hiding inside when his friend closed the shop for prayer. The thief removed the air-conditioner and took away a steel vault through the wall opening. His accomplice loaded it onto a vehicle and drove away. While the thief was still inside the shop trying to escape through the air-conditioner opening, a patrol team passing through the area arrested him. On the basis of information given by the thief, his accomplice was arrested from their hideout in the mountains.
