MINA, 24 February — The Ministry of Haj has blamed the Makkah Municipality for failing to relocate the abattoir from the middle of the Indonesian pilgrims’ zone. Dr. Sahl Al-Saban, director of projects in the holy places, said that the municipality turned a deaf ear to its repeated appeals.
A municipal official however said that the relocation of the abattoir in question was under study, adding that it would be relocated in due course. The abattoir was built before the launch of the fireproof tent project in Mina.
