ALKHOBAR, 27 February — A citizen was believed to have made a desperate attempt to commit suicide. This was discovered when his friend missed him at usual meeting spots and visited him to extend Eid Al-Adha greetings. The Al-Youm daily yesterday quoted the friend as saying that the man had some family problems. The large quantity of medicines that lay around him showed that he had consumed them in an attempt to end his life, but instead went into deep slumber.
