DAMMAM, 14 March — Investigations into a car explosion that injured all four passengers last Saturday in the Eastern Province town of Qateef revealed that the explosion was accidental, a senior police officer stated yesterday. Maj. Gen. Nasir Al-Nasir, police chief in the Eastern Province, said the car exploded when the youths rewired the car in their bid to speed up the vehicle.
