DAMMAM, 22 March — Air-India has met the long-standing demand of the north Kerala community in the Eastern Province by introducing a weekly direct flight between Dammam and Calicut from April 1. This operation will be in addition to the present schedule of A-I’s two direct flights to Cochin and one other direct flight to Trivandrum every week from Dammam. The nonstop flight from Dammam to Calicut will depart Dammam at 4:00 a.m. and reach Calicut at 10.55 a.m. every Monday. With the new nonstop flights, A-I’s total weekly flights from the Kingdom to India increases to 24 — 10 from Jeddah, six from Riyadh and eight from Dammam. ( SH)
