BAHA, 24 March — Police in the Southern Region city of Baljurashi arrested a 30-year-old Saudi citizen on Friday after he held his family members captive wielding a knife for several hours, Al-Madinah reported yesterday. The man, identified as Ali Al-Ghamdi, was said to be in an abnormal state. Security officers cordoned off the house before overpowering Al-Ghamdi.
All the hostages came out safe, but one of Al-Ghamdi’s brothers was injured when he tried to grab the knife from him.
