RIYADH, 25 March — Studies are under way to establish independent courts to settle labor disputes, according to Labor and Social Affairs Minister Dr. Ali Al-Namlah. Speaking to Arab News after opening the new headquarters of the preliminary committee to settle labor disputes in Al-Rowda District here, he said there are six labor panels in Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, Qassim, Hail and Asir to settle disputes. “All labor offices are provided with special sections to settle labor disputes quickly and amicably,” he pointed out. He disclosed that the rules and regulations for labor panels at companies (with more than 100 employees) will be issued within two days.
