ALKHOBAR, 26 March — The 4th Infectious Diseases Update Symposium opens tomorrow at the King Fahd Hospital of King Faisal University. Research findings will be presented by experts in infectious diseases and their management from hospitals across the Kingdom, Bahrain and Egypt. More than 30 sessions will be held over the two days of the symposium. Topics on the agenda include the incidence of HIV infection among healthy blood donors in the Eastern Province and drug-resistant bacteria. An exhibition will be held in conjunction with the symposium and Dr. Fahd Al-Muhanna, dean of the College of Medicine, King Faisal University, will attend both events. Registration will begin at King Fahd Hospital at 7:00 a.m., with the first sessions starting one hour later. Health professionals, both men and women, are welcome to attend.
