JEDDAH, 27 March — A six-member gang comprising illegal expatriate workers broke into two shops in Sabt Al-Olaya in Balqarn on Thursday when people were away for Isha prayers. According to Al-Watan newspaper, the six sneaked into Umm Al-Qura Supermarket and the nearby laundry after breaking open their locks and got away with a total of SR2,000. Police arrested the gang soon after they were informed about the burglary. The alleged thieves confessed to police that they had stolen money and other valuables from six other shops.
