MAKKAH — There is no denying that Israel is a colonial state. Whatever twisting of the facts by the media and Israel’s ban on research on its history, it is well-known how political Zionists used Winston Churchill and Roosevelt to usurp the mandated area of Palestine employing a number of terror and criminal tactics. There is no justification for people who had never lived in the area except some eons back would all of a sudden claim their right to it. Yes, it is the Jews’ Promised Land but why did they leave it en mass? At least during the centuries of Muslim rule, the Jews were safe in any Muslim country. This is a fact supported by numerous Western writers and historians, both Jews and Christians. Sir Walter Lee Scott states this in his well-acclaimed novel Ivanhoe. Besides, what the Old Testament says is sacred to its adherents but not others.

The Zionists thought of materializing the Biblical promise only when they could see that some Western countries specially the UK and the US had become strong enough and had come under the Zionist influence. Riding on the wave of Holocaust, it was the most opportune time for them to artificially carve out Israel just as now is the most opportune time for them to extend Israel’s boundaries till Jordan River if not the Euphrates.

The other reason as William Guy Carr, who has profusely written on Zionist-Illuminati intrigue for global domination, writes was the discovery of oil in the Middle East. Establishment of a sphere of influence in the region was another significant factor.

Since the 1917 Balfour Declaration that finally led to the formation of Israel in 1948 there has been a clever eviction of local Palestinians and inch-by-inch encroachment on Palestinian lands.

The Palestinians, after having their land robbed, crippled by economic crisis and realizing how incomparably their military might was matched with that of the Superpower-backed enemy, agreed to share their land with the Jews. But that is not what Israel wants. Drunk with power, and using President Bush’s weapon of “War on Terror” it is writing a new chapter of the Exodus.

It is amazing why people are puzzled at US reaction to Israeli adventures. The US knew all this well before because the War on Terror is not only infinite; it is finite as well. After the total occupation of Palestine, Israel will join the US in a war against Syria and Lebanon. Most probably by that time Iraq would be receiving its share of US bombardment.

At this moment of insanity, the only heartening thing is the assurance from some Westerners that some of them do see the truth. It is on such brave people who seek the truth, speak justly and rise above all prejudices that humanity pins its hope on.

Many such opinions have been expressed in this newspaper’s columns. An American, understanding the Zionist designs, suggests a collective Arab military attack on Israel. It is a very risky option as Israel is the only nuclear power in the region. Israel and the US have made it sure that no other country in the region acquires such weapons. The bombing of Iraqi nuclear plant by Israel and the continuing US attacks are clear examples. A “peace-loving” editor of the “civilized world” has already suggested nuking Muslim cities including Makkah. A military action against Israel would be the last resort and surely the beginning of an apocalypse even though the Arabs are the weaker party.

And to the Palestinian woman who gave us e-mail addresses of Bush and Cheney to plead to them to rein in Israel, I put the question that why a mature woman of her age is behaving like Little Red Riding Hood who in the eponymous fairy tale asks the wolf, mistaking it as her granny, why his nose was long and teeth so sharp. Being a child she was deceived by the wolf’s disguise. But the US is not making any pretensions. Its conspicuous silence is screaming support to Israeli barbarism loud enough for all to hear and this shouldn’t be surprising because this is perfectly in line with the long-term American vision. The Americans themselves admit that the Zionist lobby is the strongest in the US and their goal is to establish Israel on the “Promised Land.” This automatically calls for cleansing the Levant of the Palestinians from time to time, under various pretexts. Isn’t it then ridiculous dear sister, in fact stupid, to seek protection from the very people who want to kill you or at least drive you out of your home permanently?
