JEDDAH, 2 May — Health Minister Dr. Osama Shubokshi has set up a committee to carry out an awareness campaign to encourage young people to undergo medical tests before marriage to ensure that their would-be partners do not suffer from hereditary or contagious diseases. The committee will make a detailed study of the subject in consultation with related agencies and experts. Dr. Yakub Al-Mazrou, assistant undersecretary for preventive medicine at the ministry, has been named coordinator of the committee.
