RIYADH, 10 May — Several weeks of land, sea and air wargames conducted in northwestern Saudi Arabia involving thousands of Saudi troops have ended at Sharmah, near Tabuk, Saudi Press Agency reported yesterday.

Prince Khaled ibn Sultan, assistance minister of defense and aviation oversaw the final day-and-night exercise.

The maneuvers, code-named Saiful Islam 4, involved repulsing an enemy attack, and launching an offensive using firepower from all land, sea and air capabilities, notably Tornado jets, Apache gunships, at least two warships, two frigates and several training ships.
