JEDDAH, 17 May — Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed said the Jeddah Utility Company (JUC) and the Water and Sewage Department have agreed after long studies to cooperate on seven joint projects to solve the ground water and sewage problems in the city, Al-Madinah newspaper reported yesterday. The prince also said that Jeddah Holding Company and its offshoots will not compete with the private sector to carry out utility projects. He said the company will operate only in a complementary role.
