RIYADH, 21 May — The Shoura Council discussed yesterday the draft for monitoring and controlling the activities of the cooperative insurance companies, said Hamoud Al-Badr, council’s secretary-general. The provisions of the bill will govern the activities of the insurance company including a ban on any insurance company winding up its activities without the permission of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency. The bill also included provisions against infringing or tampering with the rights of the insured parties. (SPA)
