DAMMAM, 23 May — Municipal workers are searching out a large snake that disappeared into the lavatories of a girls’ school in the Eastern Province town of Thuqba on Tuesday, causing havoc among its 700 students.
Essam Al-Mulla, head of the municipality in Alkhobar, said his department had sent a team to the school to spray special chemicals that kill snakes and other reptiles.
“The team has not yet located the snake. However, they have done what is necessary to prevent it from moving out,” Al-Mulla told Arab News.
Iman Fanda, the director of the school, said that a teacher had found the snake in a lavatory.
“We then closed the lavatory door and warned students and teachers against entering the area,” she said.
