RIYADH, 24 May — Palestinian President Yasser Arafat will soon visit the Kingdom to thank Saudi leaders for their support for the Palestinian cause, Palestinian Ambassador to the Kingdom Mustafa Deeb said yesterday. “We have informed Prince Abdullah, the regent, that President Arafat plans to make Saudi Arabia his first destination outside the Palestinian territories” in several months. “The visit will take place very soon, but no time frame has been set,” Deeb said at the end of a two-day visit by Palestinian International Cooperation Minister Nabil Shaath. Shaath left the Kingdom yesterday after holding talks with Prince Abdullah and Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal in Jeddah.
