GENEVA, 7 June — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd held talks here yesterday with Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on the Middle East situation in the wake of Israeli military campaign against Palestinian civilians. The two leaders reaffirmed their support for the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian Authority and called for the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. King Fahd and Bouteflika urged the international community to pressure Israel to stop its aggressions against the Palestinians and to resume peace negotiations. The meeting was attended by a number of Saudi princes and senior officials including Riyadh Governor Prince Salman, Prince Abdul Aziz ibn Salman, deputy minister for petroleum affairs, and Prince Abdul Aziz ibn Fahd, state minister.
