JEDDAH, 11 June — Pakistan’s President Gen. Pervez Musharraf is due here this afternoon on an important visit to discuss with the Saudi leadership issues of mutual and international concern. President Musharraf, during his visit, will meet Prince Abdullah, the regent, and attend a banquet to be hosted in his honor. The two leaders are expected to discuss India-Pakistan tension and the volatile situation in the Middle East. Musharraf will perform Umrah at night and proceed to Madinah tomorrow morning. The visit is expected to help defuse tension between nuclear rivals India and Pakistan.
