JEDDAH, 17 June — A fire in Dammam’s Dallah district destroyed a number of commercial establishments and warehouses last Friday. The warehouses stored highly inflammable commodities such as rubber and timber, said Lt. Col. Saeed Al-Ghamdi, director of Civil Defense in Dammam. He ruled out electric short-circuit as the possible cause of the fire and said an investigation is already under way.
