LONDON, 2 August — The first Prince Abdullah Fellowship for Islamic Jurisprudence has been awarded to Hussein Hasan, lecturer in comparative Islamic jurisprudence and civil law at Mansfield College under Oxford University. The Oxford Center for Islamic Studies has named the fellowship in Islamic jurisprudence after Prince Abdullah, the regent. The fellowship supports research studies at Oxford aimed at a better understanding of Islam and the Muslim world. (SPA)
