JEDDAH, 3 August – The Yanbu Border Guard was continuing its search yesterday for one of two men who went missing at sea since Monday, Al-Watan reported yesterday.

Though the identities of the missing men and the cause of the accident are not yet known, the two are believed to have gone on a pleasure trip into the sea.

One of the bodies was recovered on the first day of the search when it was spotted floating about. Some people had located the ill-fated boat, which carried the two missing men, before the accident at a location away from the place where the corpse was found drifting.

Several divers, supported by naval boats, scoured the areas for the missing person.

Civil Defense helicopters from Jeddah were yesterday making an aerial survey of a larger area in the sea.

The discovery of some wooden planks scattered in the sea by a routine sea patrol team made the Border Guard strongly suspect that the boat might have crashed under strong waves.
