HAFR AL-BATIN, 7 October — The driver of a school bus died and 13 girl students were injured, some seriously, in a road accident close to the Saudi-Kuwaiti border. The accident occurred when the school bus, which was carrying the students from Ruqae to the College of Education in Hafr Al-Batin, collided with a private car.
The injured students were rushed to King Khaled General Hospital in Hafr Al-Batin by ambulance services of the health center in Ruqae and the border guards as well as by citizens in their private cars. People of Hafr Al-Batin have called upon the Communications Ministry to speed up efforts to expand the northern international road to Kuwait, to prevent the growing number of accidents on the road. — Saud Al-Balawi
