JEDDAH, 11 November 2002 — The Central Haj Committee held a meeting here yesterday under the chairmanship of Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed and discussed new proposals to improve pilgrim services.

Mohammed Al-Shafie, secretary of the committee, said the meeting discussed matters related to health, water, electricity and transport services.

Meanwhile, Haj Minister Iyad Madani yesterday met with the Nigerian Haj mission led by Professor Abubakr Aliyu and discussed matters related to accommodation and transportation of Nigerian pilgrims. Madani told the delegation that all Nigerian pilgrims coming from both inside and outside the West African country must be under the umbrella of the Nigerian Haj mission.
