RIYADH, 17 November 2002 — Prince Faisal ibn Salman, chairman of the Committee for the Friends of Orphans, an affiliate of the Charitable Society for the Care of Orphans, is scheduled to attend a function here today to honor outstanding orphan students of the current academic year. "The prince’s participation in the function will be a great boost for this underprivileged section of the society," said Saud Al-Dhahyan, director general of the society which has organized the event. "Integration of orphans into mainstream society is one of the committee’s major objectives," Dhahyan said. The committee will also strive to increase the society’s financial resources and develop recreational, promotional and cultural projects for orphans, he added. — Mohammed Al-Harbi
