RIYADH, 2 December 2002 — Water Minister Ghazi Al-Gosaibi signed five contracts worth SR55.5 million water and sewage projects in the Qassim region with a number of national companies yesterday. The first contact for SR20 million is for the import and installation of electronic water meters in various governorates in the region. The second contract for SR17 million is for the construction of sewage systems in Riyadh Al-Khobra and some neighboring towns. Another SR10 million contract is for the installation and commissioning of supply networks in Unaiza while another network in Russ will be constructed at a cost of SR 7 million. The fifth contract for SR 1.5 million is for engineering consultancy service. (SPA)
