JEDDAH, 17 December 2002 — The World Assembly of Muslim Youth has conducted iftar programs during the holy month of Ramadan in Pakistan and Afghanistan,WAMY said in a press statement released here yesterday.
In the statement, Assistant Secretary-General of WAMY Dr. Abdul-Wahhab Wali said that poor families in a number of cities and villages in Afghanistan and Pakistan benefited from the SR100,000 program.
Wali underscored the importance of such projects as they extend great help for the poor and needy people besides enhancing solidarity among Muslims. (SPA)
