RIYADH, 19 December 2002 — US President George W. Bush yesterday telephoned Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, and discussed bilateral issues and global developments, the Saudi Press Agency said.

Bush’s call to the crown prince came after the US Justice Department on Monday added the Kingdom and Pakistan to a list of countries whose citizens will be required to register with the Immigration and Naturalization Service, be fingerprinted and present additional documentation explaining their presence in the United States.
