RIYADH, 28 August 2003 — The Saudi American Bank (SAMBA) has been ranked “2003 Best Internet Banking Provider in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East and Africa.” According to a SAMBA press release, the ranking by the international magazine “Global Finance” came in recognition of SAMBA’s leading edge in banking and information technology as well as its substantial contribution to technological development in the Saudi banking industry.

Describing it as “a recognition of our leadership in the rapidly growing e-banking arena,” Eisa Al-Eisa, board member and deputy managing director of SAMBA, said “it is a reflection of our continued strenuous efforts to provide our customers with the most convenient quality service using this new online technology.” Al-Eisa said SAMBA was the first bank in the Kingdom to introduce Internet local share trading service.
