Do men realize just how much women want feelings of love and friendship and how much they long to hear sweet romantic words? If lacking in their husbands, they will look for them in romance novels, which they proceed to memorize.

In a recent study, Ellen Kriedman, a relationships expert asked a group of men and women about what was beautiful in their relationships. In general, the men answered that it was when a woman made her husband feel that he was the most attractive man. The women, on the other hand, were more clear and precise, and their answers centered on their feelings. Women said that they felt love for their husbands whenever the husbands called them from work to say they were thinking about them or if they called to say that they would be late due to some emergency at work, and also when they bought them flowers or a gift on their birthday or their wedding anniversary. The answers indicate that men seek the fulfillment of physical desires while women want to have their emotional needs met and consider them more important than the physical ones.

In her book “Light His Fire, Light Her Fire,” Ellen Kriedman came up with a number of ways to keep the marital relationship in a constant state of excitement. They are in reality tricks that may tickle a man’s sense of humor while at the same time make him feel that his wife considers him the most attractive man in the world.

For example, the wife could write a few words on the margins of the newspaper that her husband reads every morning — “Do you know you are the best lover in the world?” “You are truly delicious.” And “Let us do some important and serious work tonight.” On the sports page she might write, “Let us wrestle tonight”.

The wife could also record a few romantic songs that express how she is always thinking of him and every time he plays the tape he will immediately recall her tender feelings toward him.
