MAKKAH, 27 October 2003 — The Charitable Warehouse here is planning to distribute 1.5 million iftar meals at a cost of SR5 million during this Ramadan, according to Saleh ibn Abdullah Al-Assaf, director of the warehouse. The meals will be distributed among the poor as well as among pilgrims and visitors of the Grand Mosque. “We have contracted with a food company to supply the meals,” Al-Assaf said, adding that the meals will be distributed in an organized manner. “We will make sure that everybody gets iftar meals without any problem,” he added.
