JEDDAH, 31 October 2003 — The Anti-Begging Department here has arrested an African woman beggar with a borrowed child, Okaz reported. On her arrest, the woman surprised officials by asking them if they would return the child to his mother. The officials later learned that the child’s parents had agreed to allow the woman to use him in return for a share of the money she made.
