Muhammad Yousuf Naghi Motors, exclusive importers of BMW, MINI and Rolls Royce in the Kingdom, has selected its official seasonal greeting card designs from artwork submitted by children at Dar Al-Fikr School.
At a ceremony which took place last week at Muhammad Yousuf Naghi Motors Main Showrooms, Saleh Abdullah Bogari, president of the Saudi Artists' House, Mamdouh Al-Sayegh, sales manager of Naghi Motors, Ahmad Al-Hayek, showroom manager, the winners and their families were all present.
The contest was organized to reinforce the company's commitment to education by encouraging students to submit pictures illustrating Ramadan and its special characteristics.
The company had the winning submissions printed on seasonal greeting cards which they sent to all their customers.
Tim Rushforth, group marketing manager of Muhammad Yousuf Naghi Motors said "Each year, by sponsoring the drawing contest, we have been able to assist a number of worthwhile organizations and benefit from their talented children. This year we will award a credit to each card we print and Dar Al-Fikr will select items such as books, art materials, IT hardware or whatever the school needs up to the value of all the cards printed."
Entries were judged for the originality of the idea, the quality of the presentation and the degree of imagination shown. Winning entries were awarded a complete set of drawing tools and a special certificate of achievement while the grand prize went to the school's educational needs.
Ibtisam Abdullah Al-Darwish and Basmah Jabir Al-Dhahir said at the ceremony, "We are so very excited! We had great fun doing the drawings and to see them as official greetings cards is very exciting. We have never been grand prize winners! We would like to thank you with all our hearts. This is fantastic."
