JEDDAH, 27 November 2003 — Ninety-five prisoners held for violating civil rights and failing to pay their debts have been released as a result of the efforts of a charitable organization in Makkah. Abdul Rahman Faqeeh, deputy chairman for the committee for collecting donations to release prisoners, said it had paid SR5.4 million to win their release.
