RIYADH, 1 December 2003 — Malaysia has attracted investment worth SR637 million from Saudi Arabia. The investment covers projects related to animal waste management technology, youth development and construction. “In the area of animal waste management, a gelatine plant will be set up in Saudi Arabia and when fully operational, the Kingdom will be the world’s largest producer of halal gelatine,” said Ahmad Khairuddin Ilias, president of the Saudi-Malaysian Friendship Society, in a statement.
