JEDDAH, 5 December 2003 — A Saudi woman, condemned to death for murdering her husband, was beheaded yesterday in Abha, the Interior Ministry announced. Qazma Al-Qahtani confessed to suffocating her husband, Saeed Al-Qahtani, as he slept, according to a ministry statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency. The ministry said the woman suffocated her husband with a sheepskin and held down his hands as he slept. When he attempted to defend himself, she stabbed him with a dagger.
