JEDDAH, 13 December 2003 — Saudi Arabian Airlines and Biman Bangladesh Airlines have drawn up a schedule of 99 flights that they will equally share to transport 40,000 Bangladeshi Haj pilgrims from Dec. 26. “All flights come to Jeddah from Dhaka. Additionally, 10 extra flights will be operated from Chittagong,” said A.M. Quamrul Hasan Khondker, Biman’s regional manager for the Western Province. Biman operates services to 26 international destinations, including New York. Its fleet includes six DC10, four Airbus, three F28 and two ATP. “We’re planning to introduce services to Jakarta and Manila from Dhaka in due course,” he said.
