Every PlayStation owner at least played one of the many games by Square Soft; be it any Final Fantasy game or Chrono Cross. If you played one of these games and gave it the chance it deserves, chances are you loved the game. The last game in the Final Fantasy series had too many changes, enough to make some people hate the franchise. And since FFX2 is the first Final Fantasy to have the story continue into a second game many people will be very angry that is wasn't FF7 that had that opportunity. One of major disappointments in the game is the new "Charlie's Angels" style of heroines. Yuna and the gang have a complete make over and some of the characters show more skin than girls in Miami beach. But the biggest change in the style of the gameplay is the story mode. Gone are the big wonderful mission that keeps you playing and playing while leveling up your characters for 40+ hours. In this new mission mode you have lots of small missions to choose from with no main objective. The other major change is the new battle system. You now fight your enemies and bosses like the old days - active time battle. The turn based battle mode is out with yesterdays garbage - I will miss you old battle system. This game has way too many changes to count. Question is will it be fun to play? Well to answer that, look out for the full review next week.
