The Middle East’s fashion and textile industry graph is rising. This is reflected by the 40 per cent increase in the number of exhibitors at MOTEXHA Spring 2004, the region’s trade show for the fashion, textiles and leather industry. The show, organized by IIR Exhibitions, will be held in Halls 3 and 4 of the Dubai International Exhibition Center (DIEC) from April 19-22, with expected participation of over 250 companies from 20 countries. The region’s fashion and textile industry is estimated at $11.4 billion according to a recent study conducted by ICON Group Ltd., making it the second largest sector oil. “A 40 percent increase in the size of the exhibition affirms exhibitors’ and trade buyers’ recognition of the show as an important business-to-business forum that will bring them guaranteed returns,” said Geoffrey Booy, Director, IIR Exhibitions. Studies conducted by IIR Exhibitions indicate that MOTEXHA has generated nearly $10 billion of business in the last five years.
