DUBAI, 1 June 2004 — Dubai launches its new television outlet, Dubai TV, today offering international news and programs targeting an Arab family audience, Chief Executive Officer Hussain Ali Lootah said. The launch follows a revamp of the emirate's government-owned media outlets, including the television station and daily newspaper Al-Bayan, under the banner Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI).
Dubai TV has built a news center in the emirate's Media City free zone which houses hundreds of companies including global giants such as Al-Arabiya 24-hour news channel. Separate news bulletins will be dedicated to breaking international stories and local reports on the United Arab Emirates backed by other programs.
