MADINAH, 23 July 2004 — Pakistan’s Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain arrived here last night on a four-day official visit to the Kingdom.
The prime minister will hold meetings with the Saudi leadership and also perform Umrah. This is his first visit to the Kingdom since assuming office last month.
Shujaat is heading a delegation of federal ministers and high-ranking government officials.
In addition to his visits to Makkah and Madinah, the premier is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd. He will also hold talks with Crown Prince Abdullah and Interior Minister Prince Naif.
The talks are likely to focus on bilateral, regional and international issues. President Gen. Pervez Musharraf and former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali visited the Kingdom several times in the recent past. The frequent visits of the Pakistani leaders demonstrate the excellent brotherly ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
