Hi

I am looking for new game

Musaa

Hey Musaa, Don't you want to be a little more specific about that? Like what kind of game? Or for example for which system, or what kind of PC do you have? Well if you happen to have a PS2 there's a nice lineup including GT 4, Metal Gear Solid, or even GTA. If you are hip with the cube then maybe Viewtifull Joe 2, or Zelda 2. And I have to mention this or I will get death threats from X-box fans, Halo 2 looks like a cool game.

I don't think it is fair what you said in your last review about Unreal Tournament 2004 outranking battlefield Vietnam. I have experienced unreal 2004 & I think it cannot outrank it at all in game play.

Even though I have not played Vietnam but according to your recent review & online reviews it appears to be a unique type of game which has the ability for player to fly planes & bomb others & also fly helicopters...it seems almost like the real thing.

This game might be enjoyable since you could do all this like the battle happened long time ago. As for Unreal 2004, it is a sort of copy of Halo & besides it has the usual type of vehicles & flying the raptor is hardly effective unless on other raptors. Hellbender forget it! It requires cooperation between 2 players which is quite hard since it is hard to find players wanting to work with you or the respawn somewhere else. The goliath is cool.

The Hellbender needs 3 guys for team work! So if you're playing online or on LAN then you are A-OK. If not then what's the harm in adding 10-20 bots? Which by the way are AMAZING! Did you even see Vietnam? The bots act like illiterate Vietnamese who are playing and cooking at the same time! It's terrible they all just group together and get ready for mass suicide. Not to mention jumping out of planes or helicopters. Plus the vehicles in Nam really suck compared to UT 2004. Who needs a jet that can only fly in one direction or plunge straight toward the Earth. Man you have to go and play UT 2004 right now. By the way Halo is the one who copied UT, remember Unreal Tournament years ago?

Acclaim Near Bankruptcy

Buried in Acclaim's fiscal year 2004 financial reports is quiet mention that the company may file for bankruptcy or even close its doors if current refinancing options do not succeed. The mention comes at the end of a slow year for the company, with revenue and gross profit down significantly from fiscal 2003.

Acclaim's net revenue for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2004 was $142.7 million, down $67.4 million from the $210.1 million reported for fiscal 2003. Acclaim reported a net loss of $56.4 million for 2004, compared to a net loss of $84.8 million last year. Acclaim reported a gross profit of $64.1 million, down from $78.1 million last year.

A surprisingly large portion of Acclaim's losses, however, occurred in the final quarter of fiscal 2004, during which the company reports a net loss of $25.4 million (compared with a net loss of $45.0 million during the final quarter of fiscal 2003).

Acclaim is seeking a new credit lender as its current agreement with GMAC Commercial Finance, the investment banking concern of General Motors, is ending. However, in the event a new agreement cannot be secured, the company may turn to drastic measures. The company's financial report states, "Failure to obtain a new banking facility would materially adversely affect the company's operations and liquidity and the company could be forced to cease operations or seek bankruptcy protection." Much of the company's fate may rest on its upcoming roster of titles, which include Worms Forts Under Siege, 100 Bullets, Juiced, Red Star, and the international publication of the new Bard's Tale game. If the company's current losses are indeed due largely to lower revenues, strong software sales in fiscal 2005 will likely be the great hope for the company.
