AMMAN, 30 July 2004 — The Central Bank of Jordan has managed to achieve “monetary stability” over the past few years, thanks to its success in building up record foreign currency reserves of $4.6 billion, the CBJ Governor Umayya Touqan said yesterday. “The CBJ has managed to build up unprecedented foreign currency reserves of $4.6 billion that helped it to attain monetary stability,” Touqan said.
