On this auspicious occasion of the Independence Day of Pakistan, I whole-heartedly felicitate all members of the Pakistani community living in the Kingdom. I also take this opportunity to extend to them my best wishes for success in their future endeavors.
14th August brings forth memories of the gigantic efforts by the Muslims of South Asia and their sacrifices in the creation of our beloved homeland Pakistan under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Quaid’s words that “we have undoubtedly achieved Pakistan and that too without war and practically by moral and intellectual force and with the power of the pen which is no less mightier than the sword and so our righteous cause has triumphed”, provides us inspiration even today and it offers us the path into the future.
It is my firm belief that with honesty of purpose and single-minded devotion to the national cause we are bound to succeed in our mission of restoring Pakistan to its rightful place in the comity of nations. We want the solution of all regional issues through peaceful means. We are against an arms race and escalation of tension in the region. It is in this order that we want to resolve all neighborly issues through peaceful negotiations.
Pakistan has also made all our efforts for its economic development and growth and promotion of its economic and commercial interests abroad. Another priority area has been the promotion of the interests and welfare of the overseas Pakistanis.
It is gratifying to note that the Pakistani expatriates in the Kingdom both skilled laborers and workers are highly skilled professionals and have made good contribution to build the infrastructure of the Kingdom. In their current jobs also, the Pakistani expatriates are making valuable contributions to various sectors of Kingdom’s economy and services, I urge my fellow community members to continue fulfilling their jobs in Saudi Arabia with greater zeal and hard work.
Let us once again rise to the occasion and demonstrate to the world our will to succeed. The Quaid had rightly said: “The goal is near, we need to stand united, persevere and march forward”. Pakistan Zindabad.
