JEDDAH, 30 August 2004 — Police in Madinah have mounted a manhunt for a strange thief who burgled a businessman’s villa in the city and left a note expressing sorry for taking away a large sum of money and other valuables from the villa. According to a report carried by Al-Bilad Arabic daily yesterday, police found the message while inspecting the house. “I am a poor man and I have been monitoring your house for more than a week. When I came to know that you have left Madinah, I broke into your house because of my need for money for the treatment of my son and for meeting other expenses,” the message said.
