JEDDAH, 8 September 2004 — Effat College recently became an official test center for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Female students now have the option of taking the test in Jeddah.
In recent years, places for the TOEFL exam in Jeddah have been limited, especially for women. As a result, students had to go to either Riyadh or Dammam and some even chose to go to Cairo.
On Aug. 21, approximately 20 students came to Effat College to take this year’s first TOEFL test. Interested women must simply pick up an “Information and Registration Bulletin” at Effat College which is available at no charge. Registration takes place by mail. The application form and fees are sent directly to Educational Testing Services (ETS) in Princeton, New Jersey.
