Saudi Arabian Marketing & Agencies Co. Ltd. (SAMACO) launched Audi A6 in Jeddah yesterday. “It’s a new car, a new driving experience and a new design language,” Salah Yamout, national sales and marketing manager of SAMACO-Audi, told a press conference. “Everything is new and exciting about this car - it’s fascinating, athletic, powerful, sporty, innovative, eye-catching, unusual, stylish and beautiful.” It has a 246 kW engine with low fuel consumption in the eight-cylinder V-engine. “The car reflects a balancing act between power and consumption: sporty and economical, dynamic and compact,” said Yamout who was accompanied by SAMACO’s Marketing Manager Khaled Al-Dajani. “The new car comes with a seven speed gearbox and is completely digitized,” Yamout said. It does not have a handbrake in the conventional sense any more. An electromechanical parking brake makes sure the car remains stationary. It is activated via switch on the center console. And the brake releases automatically when you drive off, as soon as the accelerator is pressed. The aesthetic design of the new car body hides an extremely rigid and stable passenger compartment. Highly resistant materials, processed with new bonding technologies, are the basis for the high safety standards of the A6. The crumple zone and the footwell areas have been optimized to protect the passengers more effectively in a head-on collision. Its other features include large wheelbase, high-quality interior, two-stage airbag for driver and front-seat passenger as well as sideguard head-level airbag system.

Progress Milk

Progress Milk is celebrating the back-to-school season in Riyadh by launching its fun and entertaining Progress Zone thinking area at Sahara Mall. The main feature of the zone is the “Progress Game,” which lets children 1-4 years of age jump from square to square across a giant-sized game board setting off lights as they match hidden pictures. Toddlers will love the game, which is full of bright lights and cute drawings of animals such as penguins, lions and rabbits and little boys and girls. “The launch of Progress Game will engage children to exercise their minds and bodies,” said Essam Sheikh, managing director, SADS. “By combining both mental and physical activity, the Progress Game is a great way to show how drinking Progress milk can benefit toddlers between 1-4 years old.” Progress Milk, with its comprehensive nutritional content that includes iron, is claimed to be the ideal milk product to ensure strong mental development and thinking skills. The product gives toddlers a fun way to test and practice these skills. Toddlers between the ages of 1-4 years old will be challenged to partake in the touch screen game and goodies will be distributed to toddlers participating at Progress Zone. The Progress Zone road show has moved to Riyadh after it visited Jeddah. It will next move to Dammam soon.
