RIYADH, 11 October 2004 — Indian expatriates living in the capital will host a grand reception to welcome their new Ambassador M.O.H. Farook on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at the Inter-Continental Hotel, said Dr. Rasheed Basha, convener of the organizing committee, here
yesterday. Dr. Basha said that the decision to host a reception to honor the ambassador was taken following the meeting of the office-bearers of a number of Indian expatriate organizations recently.
“The astounding support offered by many Indian social and cultural groups representing different states of India provided the organizers with adequate impetus to host a new Inter website www.utf-riyadh.com especially for this purpose”,
said Dr. Basha, adding that the site is very useful in
disseminating information about the ambassador and about the grand function. Dr. Basha further said that the invitation cards can be had from calling mobile numbers: 050-7834227, 050-5411545, 050-5669872 and 050-3107401.
Dr. Basha, who is also a member of the managing committee of International Indian School, Riyadh (IISR), also called on all Indian forums and organizations to unify their efforts to organize this reception in a grand manner.
This function, he reiterated, will be a joint reception hosted by the Indian community members belonging to different provinces of India to honor the new ambassador.
