RIYADH, 11 October 2004 — Crown Prince Abdullah yesterday urged authorities to double their efforts to promote the country’s information and communications technology (ICT), matching with speedy global developments in the sector.
The crown prince made his request while meeting with Minister of Communications & Information Technology Muhammad Jameel Mulla and Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission Dr. Muhammad Al-Suwaiyel.
“Prince Abdullah was briefed by the minister on the commission’s information and communications services,” the Saudi Press Agency said.
In another development, Prince Abdullah yesterday received a message from Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Jaber. Kuwait’s Ambassador Sheikh Jaber Doaij handed the message to the crown prince during a meeting at Al-Yamamah Palace.
The crown prince also received a message from Tunisian President Zaine Al-Abidine Binali.
